Child and Family Development Programs

Community Recovery Services

  4. Bus passes for clients

  5. Movie/event passes

  6. Men's and women’s clothing

  7. Twin size sheets, blankets, and other bedding

  8. Bath towels

  9. Rugs

  10. Lamps

  11. Drapes or blinds

  12. Alarm clocks

  13. Hangers

  14. Shower curtains

  15. Auto and power tool supplies - tools, motor oil, shop vacuum

  16. Office supplies - pens, pencils, file folders, staplers, tape dispensers, copy paper

  17. Smoke alarms

  18. Kitchen items - blender, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, tableware, glasses, pots and pans, cooking knives

  19. Yard equipment - lawn mower, weed whacker, leaf blower, hoes and rakes, shovels, hoses

  20. Firewood - must be free of paint and nails

River Street Shelter:



  1. 36 inch or larger flat-screen TV

  2. Bunk beds and ladders

  3. Leather couches

  4. Set of 16 rolling chairs for dining room table

Crisis House:



  1. Gazebo

  2. A sturdy, locking shed

  3. Leather couches

  4. Storage cabinets (wood preferred, nice metal ok)

  5. Mini-van

  6. 10 Captain's beds

  7. New carpeting

  8. Area rugs

  9. Good quality, sturdy office chairs

El Dorado Center:



  1. Office chairs

  4. Picnic table with benches

  5. Floors redone (stripped, buffed and waxed)

  7. Replace kitchen floor

  8. Fence rebuilt

  9. Heavy duty fans

Housing Support Services:



  1. Donation of deep cleaning house service (one time ore biannual)

  2. 2 small leather or faux leather couches

  3. Backyard table and chair set with umbrella

  4. New vacuum cleaner

  5. Carpet steam cleaner

  6. Bedside lamps

  7. Small nightstands

  8. Small dressers in good condition

  9. New bathmats and kitchen mats

  10. Room dividers

  11. Twin bed comforters

  12. Twin bed sheet sets

  13. New pillows


Youth Services



  1. 8-passenger vans and/or station wagons in good working condition

  2. Bus passes

  3. Gift Certificates for food, clothing, youth needs

  4. Gift Certificates for youth incentives and rewards at Ross, McDonalds, Burger King, Erik’s Deli, coffee shops, bakeries, movie theaters, CVS, K-Mart, Target, Capitola Mall, etc.

  5. Yard maintenance equipment (lawn mower, weed whacker, branch saw, electric hedge trimmer, shovels, trowels, hoes, rakes)

  6. Outdoor activities (soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs, nets, footballs, badmitten, horseshoes, ping pong tables, etc.)

  7. Flat-screen TV and DVD player that's compatible with a VCR

  8. Someone to do brickwork/tile work on the patio at YSN

  9. Art supplies

  10. Board games


Transition Age Youth Programs:



  1. Clothing in good condition (larger sizes for both men and women, especially button down shirts, ties, undershirts, jeans, gloves and socks)

  2. Sleeping bags

  3. Bikes

  4. Housewares for young adults moving into independant housing (towels, sets of dishes, glasses, silverware, cookware, bedding, blenders, toasters, microwaves, mops, brooms, etc.)
