Peer Support Team
The CSS Peer Support Team provides support services to residents of SCCCC housing and is made up of individuals who are also receiving mental health services. The fact that they consider themselves as "peers" allows them to relate to housing residents in a unique way. Peer counselors facilitate house meetings to resolve household issues and also help build community by facilitating group events such as barbecues or birthday celebrations. They also meet with residents individually to assist them in developing their own recovery goals and in connecting to the community.
