Very young children are served through the Early Head Start program and are provided home visits and opportunities to meet with other parents on a regular basis. Activities include family support services, early childhood development, parent education and the utilization of community resources.
A new collaboration between Early Head Start and First 5 of Santa Cruz County is the Starlight Infant/Toddler Program. This innovative program offers a wide variety of comprehensive bilingual services for expectant parents and families with infants and toddlers in the Watsonville area of south Santa Cruz County.
